Can a spirit be stuck in between dream worlds ,?

my brother died on april ,7,2011 and i have been having dreams about him, the latest dream i had .he was standing on a side walk under a street light and leaning on a fence .it was dark every where else, he was facing the fence looking out over it ,i ran up to him and hugged him and said i love and miss you and he said it back then ,i said tell me everything that happen did Amanda hit you , and he looked surprised when he seen me .then he said the only thing i remember is that i was standing in the road and i looked back and Amanda hit me with daddy's truck and she meant to ,that is all i can remember . Amanda was his wife , is he stuck in the dream world or in between worlds , he was hit in the head and went brain dead , i need to know ,i just wont to die for 20 mins so i can see him ,but i know that wont happen ,is he waiting for her to be brought to justice.
